DIY: Galaxy Leggings

I found these on Cut out + Keep (TheHappiiZombiie's profile here.) They are so interesting and easy to make.

What you need:
Black leggings (naturally)
Acrylic paint in:
-dark blue
-light blue
-purple
-brown
-red
Fabric paint in:
-white
Sponges

Steps:
1. Mix acrylic paint with fabric paint (this allows the acrylic to last longer on the leggings)
2. Sponge on the paint a bit at a time, running it into the fabric (she said that she used the colors in this order: dark blue, light blue, purple, white, brown red). Simply layer the paint on top of itself.
3. After it dries some, dot on more solid white paint. These will be your stars.

See? Super easy! And inexpensive.. the paint can be saved and used for other projects and if you don't already own a pair of black leggings, you can find them at many different stores for under $10.

Winter Must-Haves.

I've been obsessing over furs lately, especially in the form of vests. I have a pink I got for Christmas last year that I need to pull out, ad just found a brown faux fur jacket at my Goodwill Boutique for $19 that is originally from H&M. This vest, found on Polyvore, can also be found at H&M for about $19, as well.

Fingerless Gloves. I, for one, have about six pairs. They are just so convenient. I especially love these from Topman for the little anchor detail. And for only $6, why look anywhere else?

These are the exact pair of boots I found at a little shop in Johnson City, Tennessee. Fortunately for me, they were only $25. The cheapest I've seen them elsewhere is $75 at Jildor Shoes. Thanks to the growing combat boot trend though, you can find these just about anywhere - Forever 21, Macy's, Dillards, DSW, a local boutique, or possibly Goodwill if you're lucky.

My favorite thing to do on a lazy day is throw on a chunky sweater and look at blogs, Chictopia, or LOOKBOOK.nu while drinking tea (preferably chai). This particular one is rather pricey ($171 from coggles.com), but literally every store sells cozy, chunky sweaters during the fall/winter season. I got an adorable mint colored one from Old Navy for Christmas. My mom only paid about $5 (love that clearance rack).

Along with my sweater, you'll often find me wearing thick, knitted socks. My feet are always so cold that I have to wear some to keep warm. These can be found at Forever 21 for just $8.80. If you're lucky enough to know someone who knits, or can knit yourself, there is nothing better than a pair of socks knit just for you.
